How does laser hair removal work with the Gentle Max Pro Laser?
You will be extensively informed about the treatment by one of our laser specialists in a intake conversation. Before the laser specialist starts with the laser treatment, the area to be treated is marked out. The device is set based on your skin type and how far along you are in the laser trajectory.
You will then be given glasses that protect your eyes from the laser light and the treatment can start.
The laser treatment
With the Gentle Max Pro we can safely treat light and dark skin types and effectively remove even the thinnest hairs. The laser beams are absorbed by the pigment of the hair. The heat damages the hair follicle and prevents new hair from growing back. Before each laser flash the laser delivers a cooling spray to the skin. Because we use the most advanced cooling technology the treatment is painless. On average you are ready in about 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the area to be treated. After each laser treatment the laser specialist will explain the aftercare to ensure that the skin remains well protected.

Are the laser treatments painless?
This is experienced differently by everyone. In general, it can be said that the treatment is painless. Thanks to our cooling system, you usually feel little or nothing from the laser treatment, which makes the treatment comfortable.
Is the laser safe?
Because the Gentle Max pro is the most new and effective way of laser hair removal and the treatment is performed by experienced laser specialists, we can guarantee that the treatment is 100% safe.
How many treatments do you need?
Laser hair removal is a permanent method to get rid of unwanted hair growth. With the Gentle Max Pro, fewer treatments are required compared to other lasers. On average, you will have completed between 6 and 8 treatments. However, this differs per person.
Can any skin type be treated?
Because the Gentle Max Pro uses two laser systems, we can treat all skin types. For lighter skin types, the Alexandrite laser is used and for darker skin types, the Nd:YAG laser is used.
How long does the treatment last?
This varies by zone(s). Usually a treatment lasts between 10 and 30 minutes.
During your whole-body laser procedure, we usually set aside 100 minutes of time for you.
Before / After the treatment
- Make sure to shave the areas you want to be treated 24 hours in advance
- Make sure your skin is not tanned or contains a spray tan
- Make sure that you have not waxed or plucked for at least 3 weeks.
- Do not use makeup, body lotion, deodorant or fragrances on the areas to be treated.
- Avoid hot shower after your treatment.
- Do not use make-up, deodorant and lotions for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid sun exposure for at least a week.
- 2 weeks after your treatment, exfoliate and shave the treated areas
- In between your laser trajectory, the treated areas may not be waxed or plucked, but only shaved.
- Use a sunscreen with a protection factor of at least 50+.
